Field Trip to The Center

Prism is Stevenson’s Gender and Sexuality Affinity group. In March, a group of students from Prism took a Field Trip to The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. They first visited the Stonewall Inn and monument to learn about its history, then went to The Center, where ambassadors took them on a tour of the building, and informed them about opportunities for internships, workshops, and youth group events. They viewed various art exhibits and their archive, and students were engaged and excited to learn about LGBT+ resources and history.
